Approach
- Game engine optimization first
- LOD (Level of Detail) planning from start, with Nanite awareness for Unreal static meshes (Nanite skeletal mesh support was added in Unreal Engine 5.5+ with limitations—no morph targets/blend shapes, no translucent materials, and cloth sim may not work; for earlier versions or where those features are needed, characters still require traditional LODs and poly budgets)
